A relaxed countryside stay near Alton IN your campervan

If you’re travelling through the beautiful South Downs in your self-contained motorhome or campervan we'd be delighted to welcome you to stopover! There's no charge to stay, although we do ask that guests support the pub by enjoying a meal, a drink or both during their visit. It’s the traditional spirit of pub stopovers and helps us to continue to offer this service. As space is limited, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate vehicles over 7m in length.

To book your stopover, please contact us with your vehicle details and preferred date and we will do our best to accommodate you. 

(And it goes without saying that furry family members are welcome too!)

On warm summer evenings, settle into our secret garden with a cold drink and something good to eat. When winter draws in, find a cosy spot by the fire and enjoy a hearty meal and a well-kept pint before retiring to your motorhome for the night.

With the Hangers Way and miles of South Downs countryside on our doorstep, we are the ideal base for walkers and cyclists exploring the area around Alton. We’re also easy reach of Jane Austen’s House in Chawton, Gilbert White’s House in Selborne and the Lavender Fields, with plenty to discover during your stay.
